How to Change Margins in Google Docs?

Google Docs automatically generate a one-inch margin each time you create a new document or open a document in it. However, at times, you require changing margins to your specifications. Worry not, it’s as easy as it gets. Here is how to change margins in Google Docs.

How to Change Margins In Google Docs using the ruler?

The one-inch margins are present across all sides of the document page, at the left, right, top, and bottom. If you want to implement Google docs to change margins, you have two options. Let’s discuss how to adjust margins in Google docs using the ruler.

Step 1- First, you need to launch your browser and browse Google Docs to open/create the document.Google-Docs

Step 2- For opening the document, click on the File then Open option to open any document.Google-Docs-document

Step 3- Now, a ruler will appear at the upper end of the document. So, you need to move the ruler pointer to edit the margins as per your specifications.Google-Docs-Ruler

How to Change Margins In Google Docs using Page Setup?

Here is how to edit margins in google docs using Page Setup.

Step 1- To start with, hit the “File” icon, located on the left side at the top end. Next, opt for the ‘Page Setup.’ 

Step 2- Now, a Page dialogue box will crop up on the screen. 


Step 3- Finally, punch in the desired details in the space provided in this dialogue box. Next, hit the OK icon to implement margin changes in Google Docs.
